Baylor Beach

In addition to attending my high school reunion, we made a family trip to Baylor Beach. It's a great family oriented water park filled with tons of fun stuff like a log roll, water slides, diving platforms, paddle boats, and even sand volleyball.

The park has a long history dated back to the 1950's when Sarah Helen Baylor acquired the swimming lake property. Over the years the park has expanded and continues to make new improvements every season. It's still owned by the Baylors currently the 3th, but soon to be 4th, generation.

Jim is typically against water activities that don't involve the actual ocean, but he had a great time swimming and splashing around with the kids.

Elliona was total water bug the whole day. Ice cream was the only way to comfort her about the devastating news that we had to go home.

Local favorite

Nothing rewards surviving a stressful week like a trip to "The Pub." Blue Moon, Fayette chicken sandwich, and onion rings. YUM!!! I'm also planning to treat myself to a pedicure after work today....yes it was a VERY stressful week!

2009-1999=10 Year Reunion

My friend Kim did a great little post with some pictures from my 10 year high school reunion. It was really great to have our little gang together for the night.
Jim had a fabulous time drinking $1.50 BudLights and watching us rednecks socialize. He was surprised no one was wearing a cowboy hat. I'm not sure when he develop that misconception about Ohio.

Swim Lessons

The doggy paddle seems to be more natural for my 3 yr old niece than my 3yr old dog...

Summer lighting

I love this collection of lanterns featured in Pottery Barn. I'll keep my eye on the sale section at the end of the season.....

Fabric Frames

Buying our first home seems like it's will be a reality sooner than later. I'm going to start storing away ideas for redecorating! This seems like a simple DIY using old scraps of fabric and simple frames.

Wall Maps

I really like the idea of incorporating some kind of world map into a wall art project.  Project pending the purchase of our first home....just not enough wall space left in the apartment.

I think I prefer more of an traditional look like the cute one I found here

But this modern version found at Remodelista is definitely growing on me.

The Knot

I finally got around to sending in some of our wedding photos to "The Knot." I REALLY hope they choose to feature some of them in the magazine or even online. For a last minute wedding, I couldn't have asked for things to turn out any better!

I used a leftover ribbon and monogram sticker that we used for the favor boxes in hopes of making the envelope stand out amongst the others. They ask for pictures that show the details (cake, flowers, favors, etc) as well as some of the bride & groom. I picked my favorites including these...

Maybe he has turkey sandwich in his closet...

Are you saving that!?

Me: I think the shower smell funny...like something is rotting?

Jim: uh... well...maybe it's coming from the tuna fish sandwich in my bathroom

Me: What?!!! (speechless for a second) Why do you have a tuna fish sandwich in your bathroom?

CinnCity

Thanks to the Andersons for the great collections of pictures from our wedding! This is one of my favorite of the crew from Cinnaminson.

Also tons of great and potentially embarrassing dance shots that I will save for a special occasion....

Piano project

This great re-do project by Design Mom makes me add "old piano" to my list of must haves when Jim and I finally get around to buying a house. I absolutely LOVE it!

Our upstairs neighbors, Mike and Marissa, have started a coffee company. They've been spending a lot of weekends at local festivals and fairs promoting their new venture. But, Mike still makes time to offer his expertise on my ice coffee recipe. Thanks Mike!! Check it out here.

Wired

The Blockbuster in Conshohocken has full windows on two sides. The TV shows are in the front corner near the window. I drove by every few days peering in the window. I even made several unsuccessful attempts to bribe the employees at Blockbuster. I waited least 2 months.

Finally last week I got The Wire, Season 4, Disc 3 AND 4...which completes the season. Worth the wait. It's such an incredible series. Highly recommended.

Landis...I will take you up on borrowing the last season. I won't survive the agony again.
